How aspartame causing Cancer? here chemical reaction

Updated: Nov 10, 2023

Shocking information released by the World Health Organization a few days ago is a report that the artificial sweetener aspartame can cause cancer.

Aspartame is an artificial sweetener in solid state. It is 200 times sweeter than regular sugar. Not only is this chemical used in non-heated foods in the bakery, it has also been found to be used in soft drinks, pharmaceuticals, chewing gum and toothpaste.

Most people choose it because it provides a lot of sweetness to the food while using less chemical and it is cheaper. When using this type of chemical, no matter how sweet it is, it does not raise the blood sugar level.

Because of this, this artificial sweetener has become an essential ingredient for people with diabetes. The debate over whether this chemical can cause cancer has been going on for a few years now. A few days ago the research results were published at the International Center for Cancer Research in the United States, and then they released a report that the use of this chemical is most likely to cause cancer. This chemical enters our stomach and is broken down into three chemicals after digestion.

These are the chemicals methanol, phenylalanine and aspartic acid. Methanol is the most dangerous of the three. This is because when this methanol is excreted by our liver, it turns into a chemical called formaldehyde. Many of you are familiar with this chemical. You are also probably aware that it is used to process dead bodies.

In general, when methanol goes to our liver, it is transformed into a chemical called formaldehyde, which causes cancer in our liver. The next most dangerous chemical is phenylalanine. Research has shown that this chemical reduces the production of chemicals such as dopamine and serotonin, which can cause happiness in our body. It has been found that this causes stress and some problems in the brain.

If you are a parent reading this because these artificial sweeteners are very harmful to children, it will improve your children's health by not giving your children ice cream, chocolate and bakery products with these artificial sweeteners. The question arises how to find out the presence of this artificial flavoring? You can see it now, the ingredient list on the back of the food products you buy says "phenylketonurics:- contains phenylalanine".
